I left Perth, Australia on August 3rd and went to England for a week or two to catch up with family and then flew over to Turkey.
From Turkey I did a few busabout trips to make my way through Greece, Albania, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and the Czech Republic.

All the Canadians and Americans we met raved about their cheap holidays to Mexico at all inclusive resorts, or living off 500 dollars for a month in Guatemala, or volcanoe boarding, or this white sands beach that no one has found yet. It sounded amazing, but we knew nothing about it. Literally. As someone who did their last Geography lesson at the grand old age of 14 I can, not very proudly, say that I had never even heard of Nicaragua. I thought it was a country in Africa.
So now with Lonely Planet guidebooks in hand, and very small backpacks bought from the ubiquitous Walmart, we have headed off for the next frontier for Australians to dominate.
Sounds great I look forward to hearing more.
